Ottawa Senators


Following a 58-year absence, the Ottawa Senators return to the ice in the same red, black and white color scheme of its predecessors.

The numbers on the black jersey change to white with red trim.

The stripes on the black jersey change to include white.

A new red alternate jersey is introduced. Also, the main crest loses the lettering inside the circle.

The alternate jersey becomes the team's full-time road jersey.

The team introduces a new alternate jersey -- this one black with the forward-looking centurion crest.

On the heels of a Stanley Cup Final appearance, the Senators change their appearance with the new Reebok Edge uniform system. The red and white jerseys finally match one another.

The Senators -- ahem, SENS -- introduce yet another black alternate jersey.

The sock stripes on the primary home and road uniforms change to a more traditional pattern.

The Senators replace their alternate uniform with one that takes design cues from the ones worn by the original franchise.

The Senators retire their alternate uniform when the Adidas Adizero uniform system takes hold. At the same time, they move the letter and number font of those alternates onto their new home and road uniforms.

The Senators make the uniform they wore in the previous season's Centennial Classic their new alternate uniform, which will be worn during Thursday home games.

The Senators go back to their roots and introduce uniforms that closely resemble those worn in the franchise's early days.

Special Event Uniforms

2014 Heritage Classic
The Senators wore vintage white versions of their alternate home uniform as they took on the Canucks at BC Place Stadium. With the roof closed due to rain, the Senators won, 4-2.

2017 NHL 100 Classic
The Senators wore special silver-trimmed uniforms as they faced the Canadiens at Landsdowne Park on the 100th anniversary of the NHL's first-ever game. The Senators blanked the Canadiens, 3-0.

2021 Reverse Retro
The Senators take their original dark uniforms and flip-flop the red and black throughout.

2022-23 Reverse Retro
The Senators make a stealth black version of their red uniforms that they first introduced as an alternate in 1997 and became their primary dark uniform in 1999.
